Dave Bottom: Sure, Jim. We take a look at NGA (National Geospatial Intelligence Agency), we're using big data in a couple of different ways. JIm Flyzik: Okay. Dave Bottom: The approach from our mission statement is "Know the Earth. Show the way. Understand the world." The opportunity for NGA with leveraging big data is understanding the world and it wouldn't surprise you, being a geospatial intelligence agency that we're approaching it from a geospatial context. When you look at big data, really what that big data is at the end of the day is activity. Something has happened. The way we're approaching that is, everything happens somewhere, and at some time. Our key program for bringing all that together is something we call "Map of the World." The idea is to anchor those observations and those activities to a particular point on the Earth. The focus of the program is to convey that understanding and derive understanding from that geospatial time and location to move decision space to the left. You touched on it that decision space is approaching zero. As an intelligence agency, our job at the end of the day is actually to move that decision space to the left. So, increase the time, no matter who the decision-maker is, to increase that decision space. So, approaching that big data challenge and leveraging those opportunities from a geospatial context is what we're attempting to do with "Map of the World." JIm Flyzik: Wow...
