Roland Fabia: For us in DIA, it’s the intelligence community information technology enterprise or iSight, and I know you’ve had Director Clapper and other senior leaders who’ve talked about this in the public forum last couple of years.
JIm Flyzik: Mm hmm.
Roland Fabia: Well, now we’re implementing it. And for DIA along with NGA, we’re the service providers that are building the common desktop, and this common desktop has transformed the community, moving from our community legacy computer and communication systems into an integrated intelligence support system. We hope this will break down a lot of barriers that the key tenets of iSight is to strengthen integration, increase information security and as you alluded to, once we crack that code, identity access management, and the 3rd tenet is to foster great information security. So our priority is we’ve implemented roughly about, almost 2000 desktops between, within DIA, and 5000 between NGA and DIA, but we’ve got huge challenges, because we’re going to increase that to 30,000 by the end of September 2015.
JIm Flyzik: Wow. Yeah.
Roland Fabia: So think about the possibilities of now, of any member in the IC eventually when we implement this, can go to anywhere in the IC, access a computer, get on to their desktop, access their applications and their database. I mean, it’ll be just, you know, a phenomenal environment for analysts to communicate.
JIm Flyzik: Absolutely, absolutely. Yeah and a good environment to get in place, so when the kids start entering the workforce, that’s the, that will be their expectation.
Participant: Oh, right yeah, and this is going to evolve. So when we reach the full capabilities, I mean we’re talking about mobile devices as well.
JIm Flyzik: Sure.
Roland Fabia: So you know we’re not going to be now, but that’s the road map.
JIm Flyzik: Yeah, excellent.
