Shishu Gupta: We’ve talked a lot about security and that if we can master that identity and access the management component of that, I think it is a key to us in doing coalition operations in the future. We work with lots of partners whether they’re civil partners inside the US for a disaster relief or non-traditional international partners that when we go to war or have some sort of conflict. So that’s a big part that I think is coming; and cloud computing will really enable that through more secure data and transfer of information. But the other thing that NGE is really more interested in is this immersive experience. Think of it as…I like to think of the Ironman story where, you know, Robert Downey Jr. is reaching into the data scans—that board of the world’s fair.
JIm Flyzik: Yeah, right.
Shishu Gupta: And he reaches in and he throws off all of these objects—the trees and the buildings and the road networks and the science; and up comes this new element then he comes in. So he reaches in and blows it up. That 3-dimensional immersive experience where analysts can move around in the data more interactively without a mouse is really where we think we can go in cloud computing because of the scalability; and the ability to bring lots of compute power to data is really the future and this is where we want to see it go.
JIm Flyzik: Wow. That sounds like exciting stuff there.
